【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesdeterminationofthebiochemicaloxygendemandofwatersofundilutedsamples.Thisstandardisapplicabletoallwatershavingbiochemicaloxygendemandsgreaterthanorequaltothelimitofdetermination0,5mg/lofoxygenandnotexceeding6mg/lofoxygen.Inthisstandard,thelimitofdetermination,DL,isdefinedasDL=t0,95(f)·2·sB·1+1/n(1)wheresBisthewithinseriesstandarddeviation,t0,95(f)isthestudentt-value,withfisthedegreesoffreedomforthedeterminationofsBandnisthenumberofanalysisfordeterminationoftheblankinananalyticalseries.sBiscalculatedfromdeterminationsofrealsampleswithaBODcontentrationneartheestimatedDL.Incaseswheretheanalyticalmethoddoesnotrequireanyblankcorrection,theterm1+1/n(2)isomitted.Theresultsobtainedaretheproductofacombinationofbiochemicalandchemicalreactions.Theydonothavetherigorousandunambiguouscharacterofthoseresultingfrom,forexample,asingle,well-defined,chemicalprocess.Nevertheless,theyprovideanindicationfromwhichthequalityofwaterscanbeestimated.Thetestcanbeinfluencedbythepresenceofvarioussubstances.Thosewhicharetoxictomicroorganisms,forexamplebactericides,toxicmetalsorfreechlorine,willinhibitbiochemicaloxidation.Thepresenceofalgaeornitrifyingmicroorganismscanproducehighresults.Inthesesituationsamodificationofthemethod(seeannexBorasdescribedinEN1899-1).Itisabsolutelyessentialthattestsconductedaccordingtothisstandardarecarriedoutbysuitablyqualifiedstaff.AnnexAdescribesalternativeincubationperiods.AnnexBdescribesproceduresformodificationofthemethodbyadditionofseedingmaterial,salts,inhibitionofnitrificationbyallylthiourea(ATU)addition,neutralization,homogenizationand/orfiltration.Thesemodificationsmaybefoundnecessaryforspecificevaluationsofthewaterqualityofreceivingwaters.
