【摘要】:Thisguidecoversproceduresandtestmethodsforprocesscomponentqualificationbytheenduser.Thegoalistoassessthesafetyimpactofextractablesfromnon-metallicprocesscomponentsusedincontactwithbioprocessingsolutions.Thisencompassestheimpactofextractablesonthesafetyofthefinalproductasitpassesthroughthevariousstagesofthemanufacturingprocess.Thisguideisnotdesignedforevaluationofmetallicmaterials,finalproductcontainer/closuresorthosecomponentsintentionallyaddedtotheproductorproductionstreamsduringthemanufacturingprocess.TestingofsolidsandextractsisspecifiedinotherASTMstandards.Materialsmustbequalifiedbyspecificuse.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thereisnocompanionguideavailable.Safety/Firehazards:ExtractionswithorganicsolventswillbeinfrequentunderthisGuide,but,whenusedmustbetreatedaspotentialfire/explosionhazards.Thisguidedoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
