【摘要】:ThispartofISO11819describesamethodofcomparingtrafficnoiseondifferentroadsurfacesforvariouscompositionsofroadtrafficforthepurposeofevaluatingdifferentroadsurfacetypes.Soundlevelsrepresentingeitherlightorheavyvehiclesatselectedspeedsareassignedtoacertainroadsurface.Themethodisapplicabletotraffictravellingatconstantspeed,i.e.free-flowingconditionsatpostedspeedsof50km/handupwards.Forotherdrivingconditionswheretrafficisnotfree-flowing,suchasatjunctionsandwherethetrafficiscongested,theroadsurfaceisoflessimportance.Astandardmethodforcomparingnoisecharacteristicsofroadsurfacesgivesroadandenvironmentauthoritiesatoolforestablishingcommonpracticesorlimitsastotheuseofsurfacingsmeetingcertainnoisecriteria.However,itisnotwithinthescopeofISO11819tosuggestsuchcriteria.TheStatisticalPass-By(SPB)methodisintendedtobeusedessentiallyfortwomainpurposes.Firstitmaybeusedtoclassifysurfacesintypicalandgoodconditionasatypeaccordingtotheirinfluenceontrafficnoise(surfaceclassification)and,secondly,itmaybeusedtoevaluatetheinfluenceontrafficnoiseofdifferentsurfacesatparticularsitesirrespectiveofconditionandage.Thislattertypeofapplicationmaybeusefulforexamplewherearoadistoberesurfacedand"before"and"after"measurementsarerequiredinordertoassessthedifferencesintrafficnoisefollowingresurfacing.However,duetosevererequirementsontheacousticalenvironmentatthesite,themethodcannotgenerallybeusedforapprovalofworksatanygivensite.Clause4givesageneraldescriptionoftheSPBmethod.
